Open Day Thank You 27th April 2013

The open day was held recently - by all reports it was a great success.

Here is a thank you from President Ray:

Bush Dance 13th November 2010

The Bush Hangar Dance was held on the 13th of November.

A great time was had by all.
Dancing was held in Ray and Bill’s hangar and the ‘cafe’ was in Lyndall and Allen’s hangar. Aircraft were housed in other members’ hangars. Our ‘new’ toilets worked beautifully and even looked nice! The ‘grounds’ were mowed for days beforehand and the place looked like a resort. Thanks to all the hard working SRA members who earned this great success.

Check the photos in the Photo Gallery.

Round Australia flight for charity August 31st 2008

Mitch Boyle, a young member of our club, went solo at 15 years of age. Looking through an aviation magazine, he spotted an article on the Fly Away To Heaven charity -raising funds for an orphanage in East Timor - and decided it was something he could do to help those less fortunate.
At our AGM, he gave a presentation on his experiences flying around our country. See the map of his trip and read his question and answer session here.
